What are Dinchat coins?
Coins are the paid currency on Dinchat. They are bought on the site, and a Reward Center reward can be coins as well. Either way they are held in your balance and used up as you do things that cost coins.
They are optional. You can come in as a guest, browse who is online and use free matches without owning a single coin. Coins are for people who have used the free part and want to carry on without waiting for the next reward.
Where is the Reward Center and how do you claim?
The Reward Center is a bar across the top of the match screen. It is always in one of two states, and a glance tells you which.
- 1
Ready
A reward is waiting. Tap Claim and the reward is added to what you have.
- 2
Counting down
You claimed a little while ago. The bar counts down to the next reward, and tapping it shows what is coming.
When the countdown finishes the bar goes back to Ready, and the cycle repeats several times a day. Claiming costs nothing. If no bar is showing for you, it is not available on your account at that moment; go by what the screen shows.
How often can you claim?
Several times a day. After each claim there is a wait before the next reward. We do not print the length of that wait, because the bar itself counts it down and is the accurate source.
The bar shows the time left until the next reward, so you can see when to come back. If you are about to start matching, it is worth a look first: a reward claimed before you tap Match is one you get to use in that sitting.
What do coins pay for?
Three things. The first is the easiest to miss, so it is worth reading slowly.
- Staying on a matched call after its free time. A match opens with a free stretch and a countdown on screen. A notice appears in the call just before it ends. If you stay on after that, the call runs on coins, counted by how long you keep talking.
- Matches once your free ones are used. Each new match uses one of your free matches. When none are left and you do not want to wait for the next reward, a match draws on coins.
- Extras such as gifts. Small paid things you can send during a conversation.
There is no extra button between the free time and the paid time on a call: the countdown and the notice are the signals. What stays free, row by row, is on the is Dinchat free page.
What happens to a call when coins run out?
You get a warning first. When your balance is getting short during a call, a prompt appears offering a top-up. If you do nothing and the coins are used up, the call ends.
That makes the end of a call abrupt if you were not watching, so say what you want to say before it gets that far. If the conversation is one you want to continue, follow the person before the call closes. A follow is what lets you find them again; the route from there is described in how Dinchat works.
If you have no coins at all, there is nothing to run out of. The free time on a match is yours to use, and the call simply does not continue past it.
How do you keep track of what you have left?
Your free matches are shown on the match screen, in the same place you start a match from, with the Reward Center bar above. Your coin balance is shown inside Dinchat as well; we do not describe the exact spot here because screens get rearranged, and what you see in the product is the reliable guide.
A ten-second habit covers it. Each time you open the match screen, look at three things: whether a reward is ready, how many free matches you have, and whether you are holding any coins. That tells you in advance what the next call will draw on.
