Privacy Policy

Dinchat lets people meet and talk one-on-one in a browser. Doing that involves some personal data. This policy says which data, what it is for, who else handles it and what you can ask us to do about it.

1. Scope

This policy covers your use of dinchat.cam, as a guest or with an account, in a browser tab or from a home-screen icon. It applies from your first visit.

2. Information you provide

  • A guest identifier created for your browser on first visit, together with a display name.
  • Account details, if you decide to create an account, limited to what is needed to recognise you when you return.
  • Profile content you add, such as a photo or a short description, and the list of people you follow.
  • Written messages, which are stored so they can be delivered and shown in your conversations.
  • Reports you submit and emails you send to support.
  • Purchase history for coins. Card details are entered with the payment provider.

3. Information collected as you use the site

  • Network data such as your IP address, from which a country is derived. The country is used to organise the list of people who are online.
  • Device and browser type, language setting and screen size, used to make the site display and work correctly.
  • Activity data such as when matches and calls took place, Reward Center claims and coin spending.
  • Cookies and local storage that keep your guest session and preferences in place.

4. How the information is used

  • To run the service: showing who is online, connecting matches, delivering and translating messages.
  • To keep track of free matches, rewards and your coin balance.
  • To enforce the Community Guidelines and handle reports.
  • To understand in aggregate how the site is used and where it breaks, so it can be improved.
  • To meet legal obligations.

5. Camera and microphone

Your browser asks for permission before Dinchat can use the camera or microphone, and you can withdraw that permission in the browser settings at any time. Audio and video are used to carry the call between you and the person you are talking to.

6. Who else handles your data

We use service providers for infrastructure, real-time calls, message translation, payments and analytics, and they process data on our instructions. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it or to protect the safety of users.

7. What other users can see

Other users can see your display name, your country, any profile content you add, the messages you send them and whatever you show or say on a call. They are not shown your email address, your payment details or your IP address.

8. Keeping and deleting data

Data is kept for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. Clearing your browser data ends a guest session on that device. To have account data deleted or exported, email [email protected].

9. Your choices

  • Use the site as a guest and add as little as you like.
  • Refuse or withdraw camera and microphone permission in your browser.
  • Ask for a copy of your data, for corrections, or for deletion, by emailing support.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.

10. Age

Dinchat is only for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe someone under 18 is using the site, please tell us.

11. Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will change and the new version will be posted here. Questions go to [email protected].
