Community Guidelines

Dinchat works when people are decent to each other. These are the rules that apply to everyone, on every message and every call. They are short because the idea is simple: treat the person you are talking to as you would a guest in your home.

1. The basics

  • You must be 18 or over.
  • Be yourself. Do not pretend to be another real person or an organisation.
  • One person, one conversation. Be present, be polite, and let people leave when they want to.

2. What is not allowed

  • Harassment, bullying, threats or hate directed at anyone for who they are.
  • Any content that exploits or endangers a person under 18. This may be reported to the authorities.
  • Explicit or violent content shown to someone who has not asked for it.
  • Asking for money, gifts or financial details, or promoting investments and get-rich schemes.
  • Sending links meant to collect logins, or any attempt to obtain passwords or verification codes.
  • Advertising, spam, or steering people to other services.
  • Capturing, saving or sharing another person's image, voice or messages without their consent.
  • Sharing someone else's private information.
  • Using automated tools or fake profiles.

3. Consent and comfort

If someone says no, changes the subject or goes quiet, take the hint. Nobody owes anyone a conversation, a camera or an explanation. Ending a chat is always allowed.

4. If someone breaks the rules

End the conversation, then use Block or Report for that person; you will find both from their profile. A report asks for a reason and a short description; a screenshot helps if you have one. You can also write to [email protected].

5. What happens next

Depending on what happened, an account that breaks these rules can be warned, restricted or removed. Serious matters may be passed to the authorities. Making false reports on purpose is itself against the rules.
